Shri Inder Mohan Dhawan, dedicated his entire retired life to children and to the cause of education. He started the school in 1979.
The campus that homes HillTop School, is an ancestral property, an ideal place Mr. Dhawan felt, to start an educational haven for children.
A Graduate from Govt. College, Lahore, Mr.Dhawan went to UK & USA to study Architecture & Quantity Survey. He started his practice as
an Architect in Calcutta, where some of his leading works are Reserve Bank of India, UCO Bank Head Quarters, Birla Hospital. His interests were
many and varied. He was adept at playing the violin, flute and sitar. As a sports person, he was chosen to represent India at the Olympics in
swimming & gymnastics. A trekker, he scaled a number of ranges, one being the Pir Panjal that faces the School Campus. He was an
intellectual who could have lengthy discussions on any subject be it psychology, philosophy, astronomy and art.
Suvir Ahuja is a graduate from IIT Kharagpur with an MBA from Faculty of Management Studies, Delhi University. He has had a very successful 34 year career starting at Philips, India in 1974 and from then on continued to climb the corporate ladder holding major portfolios including Executive Director-Modi Xerox Ltd; Managing Director, Mahindra Gesco Developers Ltd. (A Mahindra & Mahindra Company; CEO-Genetco LLc, Muscat (A Trading and Projects company in Oman) and CEO, Gold Developers. His indepth understanding of business and management combined with his years of experience is steering the school to new heights of success.
Sudha Ahuja, daughter of Late Shri I M Dhawan, is an experienced educationist and author more than 16 work-books for primary class children. She did her Senior Cambridge and graduation from Sacred Heart, Dalhousie, after which she did her B.Ed. and NTT. Mrs.Ahuja has 15 years working experience with the primary and preprimary children in institutes like Amity International, The Indian School in New Delhi as well as schools in Calcutta and Bhopal. At Hilltop she leads the primary section building a team of creative, innovative teachers that help build leaders of tomorrow.
Mr. Bhanu Pratap Pant joins the HillTop family as the Principal. He brings with him a wealth of experience in academics with special focus on residential schooling. Mr. Bhanu Pratap Pant comes from an elite educationist family, his father & grandfather, both having taught for a number of years at Mayo College, Ajmer. A graduate of Ajmer University, he has held several different portfolios including House Master during his 13 years stay at Mayo College, Ajmer. Later on he joined Sat Pal Mittal School, Ludhiana as Deputy Head. In 2006, he joined Zinc Vidyalaya, Hurda (A Vedanta Group School) Rajasthan, as Principal. As an educationist, he has conducted many training programs for teachers. He has won many awards in bodybuilding and physical fitness and continues to endorse the importance of sports in a school's curriculum.
