There are four hostels,
Children stay in dormitories. This helps them to get familiar with each other and make friends. Residence staff helps ease the child's transition from home to a residential school life. The younger children are initially assisted by ayahs, and soon become capable of making their own beds and looking after their belongings. A team comprising of the Matron, House Master/Mistress work together to provide emotional support and guidance to the child.
Daily Routine
An average day starts at 5:30 a.m. with morning exercise. Breakfast
is served at 7:50 a.m. Classes start at 8:30 a.m. There is a short
biscuit/fruit break at 11:15 a.m. between classes. Lunch is served
at 2:00 p.m. Homework is done under teachers' supervision after
lunch. Students have tea at 4:15 p.m., and are free to play games
by 5:15 p.m. under supervision of P.T. instructors. Dinner is served
at 7:15 p.m. Care is taken to provide a balanced diet of milk, porridge,
butter, vegetables, fruit, curd, etc. to the children everyday.
Weekends and Holidays :
- TV is permitted on weekends only.
- Market outings with House Masters / Dorm Matrons are organised once a month.
- Picnic and Educational Tours are organised twice or thrice a year.
- Pony rides are arranged every Sunday for young children of classes I to V.
- All festivals are celebrated with much fanfare and special meal.
